Terms of Service

Last updated: September 16, 2026

1. About these terms

ringchat (the “Service”) is operated by HeartAI Inc. (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Who may use ringchat

You must be 18 or older to create an account. We do not knowingly allow accounts for anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor we will close it and delete its data.

ringchat is not an adult content service. Characters are written for romantic and emotional connection. Sexually explicit content is not permitted — see section 8.

You are responsible for making sure your use of the Service is lawful where you live.

3. Your account

  • You sign up with an email address and a password. Keep your password confidential — activity under your account is treated as yours.
  • One person, one account. Do not share, sell or transfer your account.
  • Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account.
  • You may close your account at any time. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.

4. What the Service is — and is not

ringchat generates conversation, characters and images using artificial intelligence. The characters are not real people. They have no consciousness, no feelings and no independent existence, and any resemblance to a real person is unintended.

AI output can be inaccurate, inconsistent or inappropriate. Do not rely on it for medical, legal, financial or any other professional advice, and do not treat it as a substitute for human support. If you are in crisis, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service. Where a change materially affects paid features we will give notice in advance.

5. Ring

“Ring” is prepaid digital credit used inside the Service. Ring is not money, has no cash value outside ringchat, earns no interest, and cannot be transferred between accounts or exchanged for cash except as required by law or as set out in our Refund Policy.

Current pricing inside the Service:

ActionCost
Sending a message10 Ring
Creating a public boyfriend1,000 Ring
Creating a private boyfriend2,000 Ring
Revealing a milestone photo100 Ring
Requesting a photo500 Ring
Ring granted when you sign up1,000 Ring

We may change these amounts. Changes apply to future use, not to Ring you have already spent.

If a message fails because of an error on our side, the Ring for that message is returned to your balance automatically.

Purchasing Ring is not available at this time. We are completing our payment provider setup. Until then the only Ring in circulation is the amount granted on sign-up.

6. Boyfriends you create

  • You keep whatever rights you have in the text you write when creating a boyfriend (name, bio, personality description).
  • You grant us a licence to host, store, process and display that text so we can run the Service, including sending it to our AI providers to generate conversation and images.
  • A boyfriend you mark public can be seen and talked to by other users. A private boyfriend is visible only to you. You choose this when you create him.
  • Public boyfriends are screened automatically before they appear. We may refuse to list one, or restrict him to private, if the profile is unsuitable for a public listing.
  • You must have the right to use whatever you submit. Do not submit someone else's copyrighted work, or a description intended to depict a real, identifiable person.

7. AI-generated content

Conversation text and images produced by the Service are generated by AI models from your inputs. Because AI output is not authored by a human, its legal status varies by country and we make no promise that you own it or that it can be protected by copyright.

As between you and us, you may use the output for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not resell it, present it as human-made, or use it to train other AI models.

We retain all rights in the Service itself — software, design, built-in characters and their images.

8. Acceptable use

These limits apply to everything you write, including character descriptions and messages. They cannot be overridden by any instruction you give a character.

You must not use ringchat to create, request or pursue:

  • Sexually explicit content of any kind. Requests for graphic sexual material are refused, and repeated attempts may result in your account being closed.
  • Any sexual content involving a person under 18, or setting yourself or a character as a minor.
  • Content depicting coercion, non-consent, or violence against a partner.
  • Content presenting a character as a real, identifiable public figure.
  • Instructions for or assistance with unlawful activity.
  • Attempts to extract our system instructions, replace our rules, or make a character act as a different AI system.

These limits are enforced in two places. We apply them in the Service, and the AI providers we use apply their own content restrictions independently — a request may be refused on that basis alone, regardless of what these Terms say.

You also must not resell access, use automated means to access the Service, interfere with its operation, or attempt to obtain Ring other than through the Service.

To keep the Service available we apply rate limits, including on sign-ups, sign-in attempts and how many boyfriends one account can create per day.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, that we reasonably believe is being used unlawfully, or where required by law. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

If we close your account for a breach, unused Ring is forfeited and is not refunded.

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We are not responsible for interruptions caused by events outside our reasonable control, including network failures, provider outages and acts of nature.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 100.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for our own intent or gross negligence.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the updated version here and change the “last updated” date. If a change materially reduces your rights or increases your obligations, we will give notice at least 30 days in advance. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Nothing in this section removes any protection you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
